The Praga brand was established in 1907, and is one of the oldest car manufacturers in the Czech Republic. Before World War II, it was the largest manufacturer of automobiles, and afterwards, due to the damage done to the factory, it unfortunately had to cease production. It then began building back up, specializing in the production of spare parts for automobiles. In the period from 1996 until 2003, Praga produced motocross and Enduro motorbikes. While the two-stroke PRAGA ED 250 were successful commercially and in racing, especially in the US, the four-stroke ED 430 and ED 610 were successful in the European Enduro Championship.

Finally, under the direction of Petr Ptacek, Praga has moved into the karting arena with its partnership with Intrepid Karting International. Praga owner Petr Ptacek has a long history and passion for karting and racing. It was his vision to bring the Praga brand into karting, and through the partnership with Intrepid, Praga has quickly become part of the best brand in karting.
